2018: In Review

With the holiday season upon us, the James Renwick Alliance reflects on 2018 with a sincere thank you to all of our members who continue to dedicate time, resources and good will to the organization. With your generosity, we are able to advance public appreciation of craft art and promoting individual achievements of excellence and innovation in the craft field. 

 

FY 2018 Achievements

• Sponsored the Smithsonian American Art Museum Renwick Gallery Burning Man Exhibition with a $50,000 donation
• Hosted of four Distinguished Artist Series artists including Alex Bernstein, Sharon Church, Chris Antemann and our first mosaic artist Sonia King. 
• Donated funds to American University Museum Katzen Arts Center for the purchase of a glass case for the display of craft objects
• Recognized an ACC Baltimore Show artists with an Award of Excellence and Innovation
• Hosted over 30+ programs, including studio visits, craft study tours, lectures, workshops and more

What to expect in 2019...

We have begun our new fiscal year with notable programs including our first Distinguished Artist Series workshop and lecture with 150 guests, a visit with the Metropolitan Glass group from New York, a craft study tour to Richmond and a $5000 emerging artist Chrysalis Award in glass to Dean Allison. Make a year-end donation to ensure the continued success of the James Renwick Alliance.
